Grace Lithio, DVM

local veterinarians

Dr. Grace Lithio graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Lithio received a BA in Biology from Saint Olaf College in 2011. While studying at Iowa State, Dr. Lithio had the opportunity to participate in two different veterinary mission trips to Nicaragua, vaccinating cows, horses, dogs, and cats, as well as performing spays and neuters. She is thankful to have had these experiences to serve and to witness the human-animal bond in a different culture.

After graduation, Dr. Lithio spent her first years practicing companion animal medicine in Iowa. After her husband’s job prompted a move to Indianapolis, Dr. Lithio was overjoyed to find her home with the caring and compassionate community at Broad Ripple Animal Clinic.

In her free time, Dr. Lithio enjoys cooking and baking, playing board games, traveling, going for walks, and spending time with family. She and her husband Andrew have two cats, sisters, named Elsie and Skunk.

Dr. Lithio is especially interested in preventative care, client education, pain management, and rehabilitation.

Dr. Lithio’s philosophy of veterinary medicine: “My favorite part about this job is the relationships that I build with my clients and their pets. I am honored to play a role in supporting the sweet, special bond that people share with their furry family members. Veterinary medicine is a privilege – the opportunity to protect and promote the human animal bond on a daily basis.”
