Stage II: Early gum disease & periodontitis
Indicated by: Inflamed gum line & pockets. Extensive plaque formation with tartar buildup.
Stage III: Established gum disease & periodontitis
Indicated by: Increased inflammation of gum line and larger pockets. Thicker tartar formation and very painful.
Stage IV: Advanced gum disease & periodontitis
Indicated by: Severe inflammation of gum line and severe periodontitis. Severe tartar formation, bleeding, and infection.
